Thank you Ft. Collins


   Today was my last full day in Fort Collins for awhile. Tonight is my last night in the place I've called home for the summer. It's been so amazing I'm grabbing my stuff and coming back to stay! It is glorious waking up with mountains daily, not having traffic and being able to make money here. 

    I started this journey (the summer of Jenn) because after everything went to shit I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do or where I wanted to be. The last two months have given me everything I've been searching for. I have friends that are like family (that I've known for over 15 years) and new friends that will be like family close by. I am sold! 

    I worked a little today and like every Tuesday I've ever worked anywhere (except for Freeport, IL for some reason) it was super slow. I came home and gathered the rest of the things going with me for the next leg of my journey and cleaned my spaces. There will be someone else staying here for the 90 days I'm gone so I wanted to make sure it was nice and clean for her. The lady of the house and I had some vodka drinks and the resident pre-teen made me a bracelet for this weekend.


   Tomorrow I'm up early to hustle a bit more and then my night zero will be with my good friend from Chicago at the Mish for Jamestown Revival. He is the one who introduced me to the band and he's never seen them. So I get his Jamestown cherry and he gets my Mish cherry. Then 4 nights with the best band in the land and more friends and good times. 

    The current plan is to stay somewhere near the Garden of the Gods on Monday night. Maybe an early morning hike to see the sunrise and then I'll be in Albuquerque to visit with family before making my way back to Chicago. So many people I can't wait to hug.

A little Phish

    Spent a weekend at Deer Creek with so many friends! A great time was had and I'm looking forward to this weekend in Bethel, even if it's going to be a wet one!      After Phish I ended up in Ohio for a few days. Spent a lot of time outside and laughing with some of my favorites. Tomorrow I'm back on the road again. I'll be crossing off another state from my list, working, camping and checking things out. I made sure to give myself plenty of time for all of that in-between shows.  Much love ❤️

Baby Wrigley

I stopped by the little Cubs field in Freeport, IL today. Considering that Wrigley is one is my happy places, I was pretty unimpressed. But it was still cute.  I worked near there today and came back to my plaything bringing me weed. That was a nice surprise and much appreciated. He's off to some edm thing in Madison tonight and my exciting plans include trying to get my TV to turn on.  My face isn't throbbing today so I avoided the dentist (although I shouldn't). It still hurts but it's nothing I can't put up with.  Much love ❤️

DICKS!

    The four night run at Dicks was exceptional. Got to dance with some amazing people and hear a lot of great songs. That will definitely be where you can find me every Labor Day from now on.      My postcard friend let me crash his hotel after my original plan fell through. Super sweet of him and a great hotel not too far from the venue. His kindness was appreciated and we had a great time together.     I stayed near the hotel today and worked and then headed out to the mountains to clear my head from the weekend. The journey home has started and I already can't wait to be back here.      Summer of Jenn may be over but the adventures will never stop. Next up, New Mexico! My friend said I should just make it the year of Jenn... Why not?  Much love ❤️
