Field of Dreams

Today I went to the set of Field of dreams. It was a pretty cool experience. I researched all of it online and knew I was going to make it there at some point while out here and then realized it was only 15 minutes away from where I was, so off I went! It is free to walk the field (according to their website) but when I got there the sign said "$20 suggested donation" I had $5 cash on me. The adorable elderly gentleman that came out of his booth told me that was fine, told me everything he knew about the place, making me laugh quite a bit and gave me a bumper sticker anyway.

Also talked to my good friend down in Kentucky for three hours today. I'll be getting to see him and his lovely fiancé at the end of June. I mentioned that I was blogging my summer and asked if I should include all the trouble I get into knowing my mother is reading. His answer was "She knows you and that's what we all want to read anyway!" That gave me a good laugh.

Went to the new restaurant in Stockton last night for dinner and it was great. We actually ended up going back for breakfast this morning and I think I'm just going to eat all my meals there while I'm in town. It's called Stockton Pit Stop and I highly recommend it if you're ever in this area.

I had the taco salad and then my friends dog ate my left overs which made me sad but I'll survive.

Tomorrow morning I head back to Chicago for a few days before I hit the East Coast for the weekend.

New Ekoostic Hookha live album dropped today. Didn't think I'd have to listen to them ever again, but I did, and I enjoyed it. It actually met my mood for the day pretty well.

Much love ❤️

Summer of Jenn 2

Started off Summer of Jenn 2 with a short trip to one of my favorite venues to see one of my favorite bands (moe.) play an amazing show with some amazing friends!      I was going to take a quick disco nap and head straight from Dillon to Chicago but my car has been burning oil and my roommate insisted I get it fixed before I drive across the country. $600 later and I was told to just get a new car. Thanks... I guess I got new spark plugs too but I could've done that myself.      I'm a day behind on travel so I decided to do the drive over night. Haven't really done that before, I usually leave around 2am. Wish me luck!  Much love ❤️

A little Phish

Spent a weekend at Deer Creek with so many friends! A great time was had and I'm looking forward to this weekend in Bethel, even if it's going to be a wet one!      After Phish I ended up in Ohio for a few days. Spent a lot of time outside and laughing with some of my favorites. Tomorrow I'm back on the road again. I'll be crossing off another state from my list, working, camping and checking things out. I made sure to give myself plenty of time for all of that in-between shows.  Much love ❤️

Home

The first over night drive was successful, as in, I got here. I think it's actually the way to go. Nebraska is so much better when you can't see it, construction zones aren't active yet and there are less police and awful drivers on the road. But I do feel like it took so much longer. (It didn't) I also put so much oil in my car just to get here... I don't want to talk about it. All the drives coming up are much shorter and I hope the car is agreeable.     Every time I come home my dad grabs Portillo's for dinner. I swear I'm still full. I heard they are opening one in Denver, would be nice to have a little slice of home close by.     After dinner I spent time with friends and learned more about spray tanning than I ever needed to know, but I'm always thankful for new knowledge! This is the first Phish tour in years that we won't be at any of the same shows and it's weirding me out!      Tomorrow the kids are helping me d...
